Why do you need a band sealer you ask? Your company is growing and you need to seal bags at a rate of 15 to 20 PPM. A motorized Continuous Band Style Sealer is most likely what you need. Once trained, an operator can feed a Band or Hot Air Sealer at approximately 22 PPM depending on circumstances. The Band Sealer will produce a Clean Flat Seal that is aesthetically pleasing and hermetic. The seal is produced by transferring heat via heated bars through a band, usually made from Teflon coated fiberglass or steel. This type of seal is found on food and medical packages, among others. It is perhaps the most versatile of machines as seal lengths are not an issue and when set up correctly will perform well on a variety of films and bag/pouch styles. When configured properly this type of machine has the ability of sealing heavy gauge bags and sacs manufactured using multi-layered or laminated materials including packages with side gussets and having fin seals either centered or on the gusset.   |
